Could it be Congenital Clasped Thumb???

When Bee is at 4 months old, my mum (Bee's main caregiver when I'm at work) told me that Bee's left hand looks weird. When hearing this, I was angry (probably because a mum would not accept bad comments about their baby) and ask her for details.

Bee was always wearing mittens to prevent him from scratching himself (he scratched his face twice till it bleeds). Only recently he is older and has outgrown his mittens so we stop letting him to wear, to allow him to start learning to grab things

After monitoring closely on Bee left hand, we noticed that he never his left thumb at all while right thumb opens actively. So I quickly ask Mr Google (www.google.com) on related symptoms and the closest result I get is Congenital Clasped Thumb.

We tried to open up Bee's left thumb, he seems to have no pain nor uncomfortable when we opens up for him, but he could not maintain his thumb open by himself. His left thumb will immediately clasp up when we release it. We are worried but it is non life-threatening, therefore we waited to bring Bee to the polyclinic on sat for consultation. I guess they will not be able to diagnose or give answer about this immediately but probably refer us to the specialist clinic (at subsidies rate with their referral letter).
